Udu Is Peaceful,” Oyibode Assures as Enekorogha Pays Courtesy Visit

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA, has proclaimed that Udu Local Government is peaceful. The Udu Council Boss made this known earlier today Tuesday 03/12/2024, when he hosted Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Barr. Frank Enekorogha during a courtesy visit to his office in Otor-Udu, Udu Local Government Area, Delta State. Reflecting on his administration’s achievements, the Executive Chairman emphasized the transformative strides in fostering peace and stability, which have laid the foundation for sustainable development in Udu.
Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha, an elder statesman and former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, is also a former representative of Burutu Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives and a former Director-General of the Direct Labour Agency, Delta State. During the visit, he commended Olorogun Oyibode for his visionary leadership, which has nurtured a harmonious environment in Udu, allowing its residents to thrive and enjoy tranquility.
As a proud resident of Udu, Hon. Enekorogha highlighted his admiration for the Chairman’s numerous accomplishments, including the strategic appointment of Hon. Andrew Ekwetafia Gbise (JP) as Secretary to the Udu Local Government Council. He urged the Chairman to sustain these impactful initiatives for the betterment of Udu.
In his response, Olorogun Oyibode expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Enekorogha and his delegation for their visit and kind words. He provided insights into key projects undertaken by his administration to further Udu’s progress, such as:
The construction of a befitting Executive Chairman’s Office building, complete with an Excos Chamber.
The ongoing construction of the Council’s Chapel.
The recent groundbreaking ceremony for the Executive Chairman’s residential quarters.
He also revealed plans to build a new police station in Otor-Udu to enhance security, attract investors, and stimulate economic growth. Discussions with prospective investors from the United States and the United Kingdom are underway, demonstrating a robust commitment to positioning Udu as a hub for global investment and innovation.
“The peace we enjoy in Udu is no coincidence,” Olorogun Oyibode stated. “It is the result of intentional efforts and collaborations. Our people can now sleep soundly, and this environment of security is unlocking new opportunities for growth and prosperity.”
